The delicious treat that can also help with arthritis

Pine pollen is one of nature’s special healing materials used to connect to the message of nature.

Pine trees are unique, they don't drop their needles in winter and stay green through the coldest weather. In winter, if you want to stay alive you need more energy. Pine trees have the most energy because they can fight the cold and even stay green, while other plants have to drop their leaves. 

Taking pine into your diet will help you become part of this evergreen strength: no fear, green in winter, forever you.

Pine pollen is very special as you cannot harvest the pollen every year, only once every twenty years. So pine pollen represents not only the highest energy of the season but the highest energy of nature! If the pine tree doesn’t meet the energy requirement of nature, then it wouldn’t have pollen.

For thousands of years, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has understood and used the healing properties of the pine tree. In terms of healing the body, pine pollen is very good for the skin and it benefits cardio health. The pine tree is also used to treat arthritis with Pine sap traditionally having been used in cancer treatments. 

Pine nuts are a very healthy food with their essence traveling to the Lung and Kidney meridians, and as a TCM practitioner I encourage patients to add pine nuts into their diets to strengthen the Kidneys and to help relieve constipation. Pine nuts and pollen along with the other pine tree materials are not used often in the West, but in China they are considered one of the most powerful natural substances.

This delicious treat will help eliminate the cold and wetness causing arthritis pain and numbness in extremities. Improves nervous functions and joints activities.

Sugar Coated Pin Nuts


  • Pine nuts 

  • Ginger juice

  • Sugar 

1.   Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Put in pine nuts to cook for a couple of minutes, remove and drain.

2.   Warm one cup of water in a pan, add ginger juice and melt in one cup of sugar. Turn off heat and put pine nuts in to coat with sugar. Remove and drain.

3.   Warm a cup of oil in a pot and put pine nuts in by batch to fry them for a couple of minutes. Remove and let cool down to form crunchy coating on the outside of pine nuts.

4.    Eat pine nuts as snack or add to salad or stir-fry.
